This Sunday

Hi all. 
This weekend we say goodbye to our vicar and our assistant curate Owen and Gill Page as they head off to Nottingham. 
We have a United benefice service at St Marys at 11:00. 
There is no service at St. Peter's. 
And don't forget the clocks go back this weekend 
Big Lie-In  Sunday!

This Sunday!

Phew what a weekend, such a wonderful day on Sunday, thanks to all who came along. This Sunday we get back to our usual 9:30 service in our usual building St. Peter's. 
But you never know when there may be some some interesting news!

Sunday 16th

Well all is getting ready, the site is ready, the car pitches are ready, the messy church stuff is ready, the barbecues are ready, the forecast is good, the coconut shy is ready, the stocks are ready (the victims are too), the bouncy castle is on it way, the rfreshment area is ready (with a view of the regatta) - You would be daft to miss this !

St Peters Moves Out for the day!

Well - what do yo know - we are doing something different on the 16th.
We are staring with a Car boot sale - Doors Open for public at 9:30 till 4pm - Exhibitors at 8:30 - £6 cars £ 8 vans on Grandma Pollard's  car park. Book a place at Grandma Pollard's or pay on the day
Later on there will be a regatta on the Canal with all sorts of model boats. 
During the whole day there will all sorts of things happening Food - Bacon Buttys, Barbeque, afternoon tea - Fete stalls - A worship space, Songs of Praise : all sorts ! 
Grandma Pollard's and St Peters presenting a fun day for all the family.
All proceeds from the day go towards keeping St Peters as the Parish Church for the village of Walsden.

Next Sunday

Well we did have fun on Sunday at our 10:30 last Sunday!
And even more planned for the 16th August

St Peter Community survey LIVE Now!



St Peters Community survey Goes Live big time TODAY , 1000 are being delivered to Walsden homes this weekend.

The Survey survey was delivered in a christian aid Envelope, if you wish to use this to donate please return the envelope to 774 Rochdale Road (letter box is around the corner on Ramsden Wood Road), 51 Knowlwood Road (opposite Shade School), St Peters Church, any church member, the stall on Tod market on Thursday 14th may or at Morrison Suppermarket on the 16th May.

The Questionnaire is being delivered by the explorer scouts who are going to do their Duke of Edinburgh awards soon and we are giving some money to help towards the costs of this in return for their invaluable help!!
